Moral Education on Campus

Moral education is the key link in fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating people. Its core purpose is to guide students to establish a correct outlook on the world, life and values, and develop fine moral character and good behavioral habits.
Moral education aims to promote the integration of knowledge and practice as well as all-round development of students from multiple dimensions including ideals and beliefs, patriotism, personal cultivation, and awareness of the rule of law. It cultivates students to become new-era youngsters with a strong sense of responsibility, civilized literacy and social morality. It is not only the soul of school education, but also the foundation of students’ healthy growth and lifelong development.
All divisions of Xiamen Yingcai School have formulated student management regulations tailored to students of different age groups. The Senior High School Division is taken as an example below.

Moral Education on Campus

                                                                                        Moral Education on Campus

1. Moral Education Curriculum Management
Centering on the Star Navigator framework, the school constructs a curriculum system consisting of compulsory courses, elective courses and featured courses, covering ideals and beliefs, career planning, character building and other dimensions. A credit system is implemented in line with national requirements and integrated with the school’s Eight Constellations literacy cultivation system. The tutorial system, serialized thematic activities and diversified evaluation mechanisms are fully carried out. Student honors and awards are linked with academic credits and daily performance to facilitate students’ all-round development.

2. Class Meeting Curriculum Management
A three-year serialized curriculum is designed: adaptation in Grade 10, expansion in Grade 11, and transcendence in Grade 12, with a core character development theme each month. One class meeting is held every week, incorporating career planning, psychological adjustment, gratitude education and inspirational learning in diverse forms. It highlights student participation and teacher tutoring collaboration, and is included in comprehensive quality evaluation. It connects moral education with career education to escort students’ growth.

3. Career Planning Management
A coherent career-education system spanning all 15 years of continuous schooling is established, with senior high school as the critical decision-making stage. Independent career courses, subject-integrated career guidance and supporting themed activities are offered. Grade 10 focuses on self-exploration and subject selection; Grade 11 deepens professional cognition and social practice; Grade 12 provides further study guidance and college application counseling. With the support of professional assessment tools, the tutorial system and off-campus practice bases, students’ growth files are recorded to support scientific career planning.

4. Snack Management
The Senior High School strictly prohibits snacks such as puffed food, braised delicacies and milk tea from being brought into campus. Any prohibited food will be confiscated by teachers, perishable items will be disposed of on the spot, and parents will be informed simultaneously.
5. Takeaway Management
Students of the Senior High School are forbidden to order any form of takeaway (including meals, milk tea, cakes, etc.). Faculty and staff are not allowed to bring takeaway into campus for students. Day students and returning boarding students are prohibited from bringing off-campus food. Violators will have their takeaway confiscated, receive a public notice of criticism, be disqualified from monthly merit evaluation, and their parents will be notified accordingly.
6. Mobile Phone Management
All students must hand in their mobile phones upon returning to campus, which will be kept by boarding life teachers. Phones will be returned after school on Fridays.
Boarding students staying on campus during weekends are allowed limited use: 17:30–21:30 on Friday, 14:00–17:30 on Sunday. Mobile phones are strictly banned in teaching areas.
Day students are generally not allowed to bring mobile phones; special applications must be filed for record. Unauthorized private use or concealment of mobile phones will result in disciplinary punishment.
