Anchored in the critical period of brain development for students aged 12–15 and guided by the school philosophy of "Love and Creativity, Achieving Excellence," the Junior High School consolidates academic foundations and raises academic literacy, cultivating critical-thinking ability, resilient character, refined aesthetic taste and an innovative spirit. Core Courses

Language & Culture: We rigorously implement the national curriculum standards for Chinese and English while carrying out school-based restructuring, adding intensive reading of literary classics, exemplary English and cross-cultural learning. By deepening whole-book reading instruction, we strengthen language use and literary appreciation, enrich humanistic depth, and comprehensively raise students' cross-cultural communication and overall language competence.
Mathematics & Thinking: With the national mathematics curriculum at its core, supported by dedicated logical-thinking training and enriched with mathematical modeling, geometric reasoning, data analysis and mathematics reading, this cluster aligns with junior high students' brain development and cognitive patterns, solidifies their mathematical foundation, and hones their core abilities in logical reasoning, abstract thinking and mathematical modeling.
Science & Technology: Covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Information Technology, with a foundational course in general AI literacy. Using the POE (Predict–Observe–Explain) inquiry model, it emphasizes hands-on experiments, scientific inquiry and innovation enlightenment, guiding students to master fundamental science knowledge and develop scientific reasoning, inquiry-based innovation and basic AI literacy.
Arts & Health: Offering compulsory courses in Music, Fine Arts, Physical Education and Mental Health, integrated with art appreciation, specialized physical training and emotional guidance. It helps students master two sports skills and two artistic specialties, strengthen body and mind, and improve aesthetic taste, emotional management and psychological resilience.
Society & Emotion: Building on the national Morality & Rule of Law and History curricula, with added thematic courses on self-awareness, interpersonal skills and career-planning enlightenment. It instills patriotism and a sense of responsibility, fosters rule consciousness, empathy and a sense of social mission, and shapes a sound character that is resilient, kind and oriented toward goodness and beauty.

Academic Excellence Courses: Focused on cultivating academically outstanding talent, offering advanced classes in Mathematics and English as well as Grade 9 direct-entry advancement courses. Drawing on one-plan-per-student learning programs, they raise academic levels through tiering and connect with the senior high school's top-talent development system and high-quality further-study pathways.
Science Innovation & Competition Courses: Aimed at students gifted in science and innovation, offering Informatics Olympiad, intensive science-innovation project training and scientific innovative thinking. Linking with university research resources and using project-based learning, they cultivate students' innovation thinking and practical competition skills.
Arts Specialty Courses: Offering the Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts Creative Class, one-on-one arts intensive training and more. Drawing on the aesthetic-education resources of the Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, they cater to the development of talents in fine arts, vocal music, instrumental music and dance, strengthen students' professional foundations, and help them pursue an arts-specialty pathway to further study.
Further-Study Pathway Courses: Comprising modules such as introduction to international curricula, business and entrepreneurship literacy, and the cultivation of entrepreneurial spirit, suited to developing internationally well-rounded and entrepreneurial-leader talents. They broaden students' international vision, introduce business thinking and cultivate well-rounded entrepreneurial competence.
Academic Support Courses: For students with weaker academic foundations, offering tiered tutoring, precise after-class Q&A sessions and peer-support study groups. They pinpoint learning gaps, tailor improvement plans, and steadily strengthen weak subjects.
Cross-Stage Articulation Courses: Offering two-way bridge courses for primary-to-junior-high and junior-high-to-senior-high transitions; Grade 6 features training in study methods and thinking skills, while Grade 9 offers academic reading and writing and project-based learning. By connecting knowledge and thinking patterns across stages, they achieve seamless curriculum articulation across kindergarten, primary, junior high and senior high and help students steadily advance their overall competence.

Mathematics & Thinking: Delivered through whole-cohort course-shifting, offering electives in mathematical modeling, logical reasoning and competition fundamentals. Going beyond the textbook, and using engaging reasoning and modeling practice, they expand the boundaries of students' mathematical thinking and spark enthusiasm for science inquiry and competitions.
Science & Technology: Offering electives such as AI and Python programming, robotics, drones and brain science. In step with the needs of the AI era, they combine hands-on practice with programming inquiry, popularize cutting-edge knowledge of technology and fully tap students' science-innovation potential.
Language & Culture: Offering courses such as English debate, Model United Nations and intensive reading of literary classics. They build platforms for language practice, exercise students' expression and critical thinking, raise language literacy and broaden international vision.
Society & Emotion: Offering career exploration, community research and mock court courses. They guide students to understand themselves and explore career directions, and improve their abilities in social research, legal thinking and social practice.
Arts & Health: Offering electives such as vocal and instrumental music, dance and drama, creative fine arts, calligraphy and specialized sports clubs. They enrich arts and sports options, meet students' interest-development needs, enhance aesthetic creativity and cultivate the good habit of lifelong exercise.

Competition Achievements

Junior High students have achieved abundant competition results, winning a cumulative total of 172 awards at municipal level or above — including 128 national, 2 provincial and 42 municipal — spanning the four domains of science & technology, arts, sports and academics, demonstrating the marked effectiveness of the school's diversified approach to education.
National awards saw breakthroughs on multiple fronts: science & technology dominated with 86 awards, as students excelled in drone, AI and information-robotics competitions; arts brought 27 awards at national painting and calligraphy contests; in sports, the rugby program placed in 4 national events; and in academics, mathematics assessments earned 13 national honors.
Provincial awards centered on the school's signature football program, with two teams both winning the Fujian Province U15 Football League championship. Municipal results remained solid, with multiple honors in sports, arts and science & technology, forming an overall competitive structure of "national leadership, provincial distinctiveness and municipal stability."
