The Student Development Guidance Center places student growth at its core, with a focused commitment to mental health education, academic guidance, and career planning guidance. It is dedicated to nurturing students of the new era who are physically and mentally healthy and capable of self-directed development. Simultaneously, it empowers faculty in enhancing their guidance capabilities, strengthens home-school collaboration, and establishes an integrated support system to foster students’ holistic development.。
- **Psychology Courses**: Delivered across 10 grade levels from Grade 3 to Senior High, covering 124 classes. Each student attends 16 to 18 periods per week on average.
- **Individual Counseling**: Around 200 counseling sessions are held monthly, serving 40% of the entire student body with full coverage for top-performing students and inclusive learners.
- **Career Planning**: Systematic guidance featuring assessment, experience, exploration and planning is provided for students transitioning from primary to junior high, junior high to senior high, and all senior high grades.
Professional training is offered to certify teachers as psychological counselors, learning competency instructors, family education tutors and behavioral coaches.
The "Family University" programme is launched to enhance home-school communication and build a collaborative education network among school, families and the community.
The team consists of 7 full-time staff, including 6 Communist Party members. Among them are 1 PhD holder, 4 master’s degree holders and 2 bachelor’s degree holders.
Team Leader: Ms.Li Li (Doctor of Psychology, Professor). The team also includes a teaching research leader for psychology and lesson preparation leaders for each school division.
The center serves 5,000 students, 800 faculty members and all families of the school.
The center is equipped with well-furnished dedicated spaces, including counseling rooms, sand table & multi-function rooms, salon rooms, meeting rooms, waiting areas, a lounge and staff offices. The comfortable and fully functional environment ensures the smooth delivery of professional counseling and activities.
